As the Dark Lord's Army approaches, so the defending citizens of Yendor become more apprehensive as to their fate. Some of the Knights of Yendor, called to hold the city by the King have not yet arrived, and there is concern that they might not manage to reach the city with their forces before the Dark Lord. A tense time for the defenders. The King's feared and respected commander of the guard - the Lady Sonya - has been seen examining the city walls and has taken to wearing her distinctive chain mail armour at all times -- which has improved morale considerably among the troops.

Bands of ruthless mercenaries have also been reported in the kingdom - and it is not known yet whose side they are on - presumably whichever side has the deepest coffers.

Breaking News.... two of the huge Dark orc contingents approaching the city have broken out in feuding between themselves. Nothing has been heard of them, and they might not arrive at all! Is the Axle of Evil falling off the Chariot of Chaos? Does the Dark Lord look bothered though?
